Nice Sunday roast. Very cosy in there. Retains a bar area for in the week and evenings. Didn't see much range of beers but Guinness was good.
A good 'homemade' style roast dinner very ample portion, nicely cooked veg, homemade Yorkshire good gravy. Not Toby carvery prices but then far better than Toby food.
Nice village pub with good atmosphere and good food and drink. Sunday lunch set menu is nice with reasonable options. You might want to ask for more gravy though. The pub doesn't open until 12:00, so you'll have to sit in the car park before then. Advisable to book a table if you want to eat there.
Very pleasant pub. Small selection of well-kept beer, good wine and friendly service. Worth a stop (especially as you've slowed down already for the speed camera).
Lovely place to meet and eat. Friendly staff. Nice menu - Starter and Main meals absolutely great, I had king prawns followed by trout and my partner had chicken terrine followed by belly pork all very good. The desserts were a bit of a let down as the creme brulee was a bit to 'set' and treacle tart probably heated up in microwave. But deserve 5 stars as everything else was superb. Good enclosed garden.
