Lovely pub with excellent staff. Delicious breakfast was perfect size would fully recommend. Also some incredible walks around the area and pub is dog friendly so ideal for family and pet outings. Will be back!

I stayed here last summer and I promised Sheila (the landlady) that I'd leave a review but never got round to it. Well, they're all bloody mad and I felt like I'd been on a very strange but quite nice trip. Spent an evening in the sun in the massive garden, then when it got dark we moved into the bar where all the local eccentrics seem to call home. We were very looked after wonderfully well throughout our short stay and I think it's the first time in about 20 years of regularly staying in hotels and guest houses that i've been offered a cup of hot chocolate before I went to bed. I particularly like the photos that are displayed outside the bedrooms. A real trip down memory lane. Will be back!!!
We were looking for somewhere to meet up with my daughter and family visiting from Yorkshire and have lunch. We were very glad that we found the England's Rose pub - the Sunday carvery was delicious. Good choice of meats and wide selection of vegetables. Good selection of puddings as well. All the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The owner of the pub was lovely and made sure everyone was well looked after. If we are in the area again we would definitely come back.
Very pleased to find this little gem. Perfect to let my daughter run around in their huge two acre garden. Food was absolutely delicious. Freshly cooked for us. Lovely owner/manageress. Looking forward to going back again.
